What a renewal costs
Prevailing Quota Premium (PQP)
There is no bidding for a renewal — you pay this set figure. A 10-year renewal costs the full PQP; 5 years costs half.

How much does it cost to renew a commercial vehicle COE in Singapore?
COE renewal costs the Prevailing Quota Premium (PQP). That's a moving average of recent COE prices for your category. You pay it to renew for another 5 or 10 years. Can I renew my COE for 5 years or 10 years?
Both — but what happens afterwards depends on the vehicle. A GOODS VEHICLE (Cat C — vans, lorries and pickups) can keep renewing in 5-year terms, up to its 20-year statutory lifespan, so a 5-year renewal is not the end of the road. A CAR (Cat A or B) can take a 5-year renewal only once, and must be deregistered at the end of it. A 10-year renewal costs the full PQP and keeps full transferability and a future rebate window. Is it better to renew my COE or buy a new commercial vehicle?
It depends on the PQP versus the cost of a newer vehicle plus expected repairs. A rule of thumb: add the PQP to your likely repairs.
